The Good and the Bad of Musk’s Grok Artificial Intelligence

Elon Musk’s interestingness is not an exaggeration. In a blink, he can go from brilliant to bozo. It’s like a ping-pong game.

Musk’s latest AI effort, Grok, is based on X content (formerly known as Twitter), and I believe it will disrupt conversational AI.

In many cases, shaking up a market can be a positive thing. Too often, people copy each other, and the result is an overabundance of boring products. Musk is a man of many talents, but he’s not boring.—except, of course, for the Company of that name.

This week, let’s talk about Grok. Let’s close out with my Product of the week, the Surface Laptop 2 Studio. Microsoft sent me a Surface Laptop Studio 2, so I now have some experience with it.

The Good

It’s a pity that we don’t like to laugh at things. Although I wouldn’t say I like many things about Tesla, I like the notion of its execution, which makes Tesla drivers smile. For example:

  • Tesla’s Jetson sounds can be reproduced.
  • The car can be changed to any of the crazy vehicles on the screen.
  • When someone is sitting in one of the chairs, it can produce a fart noise.
  • Tesla CKaraokeis a karaoke system that you can use in your car.
  • Tesla’s “bioweapon defense mode” is just an in-car filter, but I love the name. There are also many Easter eggs, like James Bond’s submersible Lotus.
  • Tesla was the very first company to let you use your card or phone as the key to open the doors when you get close.
  • The Dog Mode will keep your pet cool on a hot summer day.
  • If there are children in the car, you can either block the lyrics or unblock them to teach their kids new words.

Tusk’s Grok is likely to be fun to play. Since most of these products have teething issues and crashes in the beginning, I think this could be an excellent way to pass the time or lighten up your mood when traveling.

There needs to be more whimsy since the news is so negative. Two major wars could escalate to nuclear weapons. Politics has become so ugly that it’s almost painful to watch or read the news. In this Debbie Downer World (SNL), most people will appreciate a bit of humor.

Grok has its problems.

The Bad (There is No Ugly).

Grok is only available to X Premium members, who pay $16 per month. ChatGPT is $20 per month but has a lot more substance. It’s also integrated into Microsoft Office through a monthly charge.

Grok’s announcement stated that the AI will incorporate real-time information from X/Twitter. This information is rarely the answer to a question (in terms of the traffic). Musk has largely removed the moderators from the platform. As a result, the accuracy and quality of the platform have declined while the protections against improper attacks have disappeared. This means that the X data has been compromised.

Grok is funny, but it’s not very useful if you need it to work. It could also get you into trouble if the app pulls inappropriate Tweets by a hostile foreigner or someone who does not filter their posts.

Musk, a man who is very concerned about the dangers of AI technology, was among those who suggested that we take a pause. T also worries about this, but an AI trained on Tweets may be the exact danger he fears. It’s almost as if he is trying to make a self-fulfilling prediction by creating an AI that could cause harm if it was trained on a large number of questionable and hostile human and bot behaviors and actions.

If you want your AI to be honest and accurate, I don’t believe that will be possible if it’s trained on tweets. Tweets can be inaccurate or deceptive. We could end up with messed-up AIs if people base their decisions on this data or if it migrates from one training set to another. I don’t think that will be good for anyone.

Grok: For Better or for Worse?

A part of me wants to use Elon Musk’s Gro, but I am worried about how it will act and what will be said about me. If I were to ask it a legitimate question, how would I know that it wouldn’t use content from people who believe in Q and that anyone viewing my screen won’t think I am some sort of whack-job?

It’s a good idea to have a fun gadget, but it could be dangerous.

Some people say nasty things about politicians, the misuse of explosives and weapons, and other inappropriate acts. If you find any of these on your laptop, you could be fired at any time, or, depending on where and how you work, you may even end up in jail.

Grok should be funny and entertaining. However, Rok may be both funny and bad, which is what I’m afraid of. The individual who writes this articledoes not represent the views or opinions of ECT News Network.

Surface Laptop Studio 2

Microsoft provided me with a Surface Laptop Studio 2 to test. My hands-on experience prompted me to write a follow-up.

Microsoft’s Surface Laptop Studio 2 has not only one of the most beautiful product pages that I’ve ever seen, but the product itself is a piece of art. It looks as if it were carved from a single piece of aluminum.

The cantilevered display is my favorite feature of this laptop. It is similar to the HP Spectre Folio, which has been my favorite laptop for years. Cantilever screens are great because they flip over and cover the keyboard, allowing you to use it as a device that looks like a tablet. This tricked the flight attendants into letting you use it as such during takeoff and touchdown.

If you use a head-mounted display like the Goovis G3 Max, you can watch movies in complete privacy. Scoldering you will not be possible because the laptop appears to be turned off.

Performance and Features

SIntel’s 13th-generation processor powers Surface Laptop Studio .2 This chip does not have an NPU., but Microsoft has added the Product. Once you gain access to Microsoft Copilot., it should be a nice benefit.

The battery life should be around 20 hours when you are watching movies, especially if the PixelSense display is turned off. If you do mixed work regularly, your battery life should be close to 10 hours. Microsoft is a company that offers the PixelSense display. The company claims that it has the best size, resolution, and refresh rate available for Windows. I wonder if all Windows PC vendors use this display.

It is difficult to find a keyboard or touchpadthatt does not meet industry standards in this price range.
